NOSAS Isle Martin Excavation Weekend
10 May 2019

10-12 May.

Last year we had a great visit to Isle Martin and a return visit is planned for this year.  It will be a work weekend and there is plenty to do.  A burial ground to be cleared and planned and a fishing station to be understood, with possible fossicking for other features.

Self-catering accommodation is available in three cottages.  Fairly basic with bunks etc,but the island will be ours for the weekend.  House 1 takes 12 people, house 2 takes 8 and house 3 takes 4, so enough room for 24 cozy friends.  There is space for people to camp and share the facilities in the cottages.  There is no cost for the accommodation but the ferry is not funded this year so there will be a charge of £10 for a return trip.  There is accommodation on the mainland but it is Ullapool Book Festival so it may be limited.

Come for a day or the weekend, bring your tent or stay under a roof.  If you are interested please send you name to Anne Coombs annecoombs1@gmail.com as soon as possible.
