Marion Ruscoe will discuss the development of the Inverness Southern Distributor Road

In the last twenty years the Southern Distributor Road has crept round the south-west arc of Inverness, finally crossing the river and canal in 2018 to form a complete bypass of Inverness. This road now links the A9 with the A82 Fort William road and the A833 Beauly road. In the process of its development it uncovered a mass of important archaeology. 

Much of this development was captured in aerial photographs by Jim Bone. Marion will describe the development of this road, using Jim's photos as a backdrop.
