Exploring cup marked stones at Clava
The Clava Cairns have long been on the ‘tourist trail’ around Inverness. Visitors and archaeologists since Victorian times have noted the cup marks on the cairns. Today lots of people visit these impressive monuments, but few take time to examine the rock art built into them.
Join us to find and talk about the rock art panels there. There is good parking and access is easy. We will go for a coffee afterwards where we can share some relevant documents and talk about what we have seen.
Note: This will be a repeat of the over-subscribed NOSAS 25-year celebration event held on 1 November 2023, ideally with better weather!
