Becoming a Member of NOSAS

Welcome to NOSAS - the archaeological society for amateurs and professionals in the North of Scotland.

NOSAS members are able to:

  • learn new skills by taking part in archaeological digs and projects, working with experienced archaeologists in the field
  • access the extensive NOSAS stock of surveying and excavation tools and material 
  • borrow books from the NOSAS library in Dingwall
  • receive regular newsletters and updates concerning archaeological activity in Scotland, and particularly the Highlands
  • link to other archaeological groups throughout Scotland and the UK
  • attend the winter monthly NOSAS meetings - discussion, presentations and networking

To join us at NOSAS, please print out this form, complete it and send it , with your subscription, to the address shown (at the bottom of the form). Membership is currently £15 per year, £25 for families or couples, half-price for under-25's.

If you are an archaeology student at University of Highlands & Islands then you are entitled to free NOSAS membership. The NOSAS student liaison is Duncan Kennedy should you need any further details. Please complete the UHI Student membership application form here.
