NOSAS visit to Kilmartin Glen

NOSAS visit to Kilmartin Glen from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd March.
We are arranging a NOSAS multi day visit to the archaeological delights of Kilmartin Glen in Argyll. For a very brief overview of the sites, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kilmartin_Glen.
The current plan is that we will arrive on Friday. In the evening we will be given a talk on the archaeology of Kilmartin by archaeologist, lithic expert and flint knapper Will Attard.
There will be a tour of the recently refurbished Kilmartin museum on Saturday morning - https://www.kilmartin.org/ - followed by visits to the immediately surrounding prehistoric sites. We have arranged a communal meal out in the evening at the Kilmartin Inn.
On Sunday there will be a tour of sites further out in the glen, which may include Achnabreac and/ or Ormaig rock art panels and/or Dunadd fort. Local HES site officer and NOSAS member Sheila Clark will be with us.
