NOSAS visit to Kilmartin Glen

NOSAS visit to Kilmartin Glen from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd March.
We are arranging a NOSAS multi day visit to the archaeological delights of Kilmartin Glen in Argyll. For a very brief overview of the sites, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kilmartin_Glen.
The current plan is that we will arrive on Friday and we hope to be given a talk on the archaeology of Kilmartin in the evening.
There will be a tour of the recently refurbished Kilmartin museum on Saturday - https://www.kilmartin.org/ - followed by visits to the immediately surrounding prehistoric sites. We will arrange a communal meal out in the evening.
On Sunday there will be a tour of sites further out in the glen, which may include Achnabreac and/ or Ormaig rock art panels and/or Dunadd fort. Local HES site officer and NOSAS member Sheila Clark will be with us.
We have arranged with the local Bothy Bunkhouse - http://www.thebothykilmartin.co.uk/ - to reserve all their accommodation for the weekend.
"There are 4 en-suite twin rooms plus 2 kitchen-diners I can put up bunks in a couple of rooms to give 2x2 and 3x3 but for health reasons I can't put up any more. If you wanted more you would be welcome to put them up under my supervision.
The cost is £15 per person per night and you need to provide single bedding (or sleeping bag & pillow case) plus a personal towel. Duvets, pillows, shower mats and tea towels are provided."
Please email Anne Coombs annecoombs1@gmail.com if you are interested in joining us for the visit to Kilmartin, with an idea of which days you intend to be there. Additionally, please let Anne know if you would like accommodation at the bunkhouse, specifying your preferred choice of room/ bed and which nights you plan to stay. This will be allocated on a first come first served basis. We understand some people may wish to bring camper vans or stay elsewhere, but please still add your name to the list if you are joining the trip.
