Online MAD with Eric Grant: "The archaeology, material culture and apotropaic symbolism of witchcraft and magic".
Eric will give an overview of the witch trials of the 16th and 17th Centuries, but then concentrate on the material culture of witchcraft, much of which dates to the post witch trial period. Witchcraft may no longer have been a capital offence after 1735, but people still believed in witchcraft and devised many anti-witchcraft spells and artefacts.
